One thing I did notice:

Comes back empty. /dev/hda11 is ext3. Are you sure hda4 is xfs? Diskdrake

How did you boot the install? The "Read-only file system" i
a user is also probably a missing package. Try running it from the
console or a terminal and see if you can see the error messages.

". Either X runs, or you drop back to the console.
For the other, I need more information. Look at ps output from a console,
look at .xsession-errors in the X user's home directory. It sounds like
some process is hanging, and it might well be drakfw, like I mentioned in
the last message
ting a hang in starting the
Xsession due to drakfw hanging due to missing gtkdialogs, which was on the
CD but not installed, even though it's required. I added it to rpmsrate
on the RC1 release and it was installed here. I also added mozilla,
galeon and their requirements.

Hmm, that's no good. Some of the radeon cards actually work in native
mode. What if I added a boot argument on the CD "force-fbdev" that would
push both the installer and the installed X to use
I managed to do was break the package
selection altogether when I tried to do the substitution. I can probably
substitute fbdev for the driver the installer sets up, as well as the
installer.

? Does replacing r128 with fbdev, or
using the config someone else posted a couple of days ago do anything for
you? Does the installer created XF86Config-4 have "UseFBDev"?

there's a module missing. I can post the module up for you on my web
