PITA to get chronological order thought, every approach really have

But honestly ? Send it to central logger and worry there if you have a
chance, especially if you do some parsing there can be some amazing
productivity gains to be had.
We took a bunch of work to have every firewall log parsed into right
columns but now answering questions like "at which firewall this
traffic is blocked?" is a breeze.

After an upgrade from wheezy to Sid W-Lan module won’t work. rfkill says me

I've got a netbackup linux client installed on a machine which uses
mostly debian testing (I've got some positive pinings for few stable
packets and general negative pinning for unstable/experimental (I don't
even remember why ;->)).

you can't forbid it with umask. With umask you can only prohibit them

If you have Woody install cd you can run it with:
rescue root=/dev/hdaX
and when system is up make:
# lilo
that's it.
I do not have idea why this very useful option is removed from sarge.
Now i always need 2 cd's, sarge and woody with xfs.
In my opinion it's the worst change from woody to sarg
