A release branch would of been of little help here.

We definitely want it to look good, but I would expect folks will find

I have the RC3 bits from when I built it, but my main goal here is to make
sure that whatever goes on the website looks really good.
I will get the tag and build from there and see how things go.

IIRC, I think you have to manually build that one example. That was a
build script change, but still, a change to the released sources. And we
might want to figure out why the OSMF video is black and that might
require a code change.

Check out ApacheFlexTourDeFlex1.0 tag and you'll match what was in the release.

If we merge the whole ting we get unreleased files/changes in master. I thought
the whole point was mast was only what had been released.

Yes, I would like to wait for Om to put the binaries on flex.a.o so we can
include a link like he suggested.

And look like we have as issue with merging into master in the Flex utilities
git repo due to it's structure.
If I merged the tag "ApacheFlexTourDeFlex1.0" into master it would also pick up

Hi,
I've raised this https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX-34484 JIRA and put

Seems there are changes made to how FlexUnit behaves in FB4.6 and FB 4.7.
Not only are swcs in a slightly different location, but also how to "run
flexunit tests" is slightly different too. Already started work on

I just remember hearing that SWFDump works, but the reverse did not.
SWFDump calls SwfxPrinter which converts SWF to XML. There once was an
entry point to convert XML to SWF, but I think we abandoned maintaining
it. I'm not surprised that SWFEncoder is in the SWFUtils jar and even

More to the point though: I don't know whose version of 16.16 fixed

managed to recreate the behaviour of Adobe's (and presently, Apache
Flex) compilers, but I'm not sure of implications. It seems like at

This code is used in swfdump (this is how I found it), but I didn't
know whether it's used by mxmlc.

Hi Alex,
The way I implemented it, the download.xml would have downloaded one jar to a
dedicated directory called utils. It shouldn't have any effect on the build
except for a few kb of binary data downloaded.
But I'll try to make the download only download if the maven-artifacts target

The download.xml scripts are also used when FlexJS developers use the

It doesn't change anything with the current build (except download one more

FB 4.7 does not and may never know how to create a new FlexJS project.
For FB, you will have to create a new Flex project and copy in an existing
FlexJS example and modify it.
FDT says they can create a new FlexJS project. I've heard rumors that
IntelliJ can as well.
Thanks for trying FlexJS,

Hi,
It seems more stable release than previous release.
Just wanted to know that can I create a new FlexJS project using FB 4.7 or do I
need to use existing project available in FlexJS SDK folder ?
OR can I use any other IDE to create FlexJS project ?
