The nature of the CRLF bug in solr.cmd may suggest that many more commands are
broken on Windows. Perhaps all commands involving an argument “-c” or similar.
Can someone on Windows do some verification? Try e.g.
bin\solr.cmd start -p 8080

Yes I tend to squash merge with the GitHub button first, then cherry pick to
other branches manually in IntelliJ. Works well!
Guess it’s not critical to get this fix into 8.1.2 since 8.2 will be out
shortly after.

is to migrate to Cwiki but put all the converted pages
under an "Old Wiki" top page, and then start moving things into a new Cwiki
page structure or to the asciidoc guides one by one, deleting the old content
as we go. This way we know what is left to do.

Thanks for mentioning. I’m adding a README.md to the scripts folder soon. It
will mention this prerequisite:
pip3 install -r requirements.txt
In the requirements file we’ll also gather dependencies for other scripts in
the folder.

For bugfixes, there are cases where the bug does not exist in master at all,
and that can be reflected in affectsVersion field.

I'm pretty sure the offender is this line in .htaccess
RedirectMatch temp /solr/api/(.*) /solr/8_1_1/$1
It should probably be anchored as ^/solr/api/(.*) to avoid a match anywhere in
the URL path.

Think they have something in the makings for this, see
https://github.com/apache/lucene-solr/security/policy
Have no idea if you can limit the group who sees them to PMC members though.

Jan Høydahl, search so
we'd reference PRs in CHANGES too, e.g.:
* #217: Fix bug foo
E. Migrate away from JIRA and use GitHub issues + PR instead. Some Apache
projects do that already :)
Let the discussion begin :)
