This is something I could probably fix myself if I had the time, but I
wanted to point it out in case somebody else is able to fix it:
Tapestry documentation pages embed some externally-hosted resources

That mode="cancel" parameter of the Submit component really irritates

I think a high percentage of those issues do affect 5.4. But I'm okay with

I tried it out on a couple of my apps and it seems to work perfectly.

No, the new error message is quite clear. It's just the one in RC-1 that is
misleading.

Jochen,
You're right of course. Removing that from Book.tml fixed the
issue. So Hotel Booking is now running 5.4-rc-1 at
http://tapestry-vm.apache.org:8080/hotels seemingly without problems.
I also found the same issue with another app of mine, and Chris P. and
Kalle K. also reported the same
Jochen,
I may have time to review the release notes in a couple days if nobody
beats me to it.
Documentation-wise, I think the big shortcoming at the moment is better
docs for all the new JavaScript capabilities.
https://tapestry.apache.org/client-side-javascript.html is all background
material,
Uli, if you still want help you'll have to tell us how, an/or give us the
ability to do so :-)

Everybody,
I've updated the internal layout of the http://tapestry.apache.org home
page to work much better on mobile browsers (it's responsive now, using
Bootstrap grid CSS), whereas before today it was very scrambled on small
screens. I still have some work to do on resizing the the navigation
Jochen,
I see it on both pages now. The export process only runs once per hour, so
maybe you just didn't wait long enough?

Great news, Jochen!
As for the documentation, I've already updated much of it for 5.4. For
example, all the Tapestry Tutorial pages have been updated with 5.4 text
and screen shots. There are some layout changes in the works (mostly to fix
mobile) that will be done over the coming weekends.

I agree, we should close that issue. I think we're compliant.
I'm trying to get some of the older issues closed. I just stumbled over
TAP5-2250.
I guess, the point is valid, however there's a warning about potential
stability issues and the links don't seem to encourage anyone to download
snapshot

Great, but I don't think approval is needed. Follow the links on the log in

Jochen, as a PMC member, can't you just submit an infrastructure ticket to
get the access you need?
