I've made some progress on getting the distributed domain and sca client going again and would like to do another release to get those out. If i started the release process next week would that fit in ok with others plans? ...ant

The problem with the current samples is that most of them don't work and there's no consensus yet on exactly what we want, I'm sure you've all see the eighty odd long email thread about them - subject: "2.0 Beta2 samples (was: [VOTE] Release Tuscany SCA 2.0 Beta2 RC2)". We could for now just copy

The issue with that is that users then need Maven to generate the Ant scripts and the uses who want the Ant scripts probably don't want to have to be using Maven. To fix that we could include the generated Ant scripts with the sample but i'm not sure that the way the Maven generated scripts downloa

I've been trying to help a user get going with one of the samples using the latest code but its ended up needing a bunch of change to the sample pom.xml's to get it to work with the latest snapshot code. Folks, I'd like to see us do a full 2.x release - not another Beta. 2.x has been around for a while and it's in pretty good shape. A full release is called for in my opinion. If some samples aren't of the right quality, then leave them out for now - they can be added back later once they are
