Changed settings, rebooted, used different security levels, checked
firewalls all without result.
Removed SlimServer 6.0.2 and reinstalled - problem fixed.
There's a bug in there somewhere:-)

Thanks,
Do you know if there may be any moves to include an option to play
stuff from other programs?
FAB! I like the idea of using a crossover cable for the time being, as
it will probably take me a while to set up the wireless bit.

Hi,
I just noticed something wrong with the Browse Artwork. I use
Slimserver 6.1 lastest nightly running on XP SP2, all my artworks are

slimserver, if I do Browse Artwork, I am presented a list of

This is something do do with caching the thumbnails and is a known bug.

Hi all,
Been using slimserver/slimp3 for ages and never had cause to post here
but have now hit on a problem, any help appreciated...
Have been using ss 5.4 for a while and today upgraded to 6.0.2. now
when i scan my music folder, I only get 33 albums out of 216 that are
actually in the folder.
But, in the meantime, I sincerely hope the Slim folks will enhance the
SqueezeBox (or at least SB2) to play subscription based DRM WMA. If
Roku can do it, I don't see why Slim cannot? I suspect Microsoft would
love to add the Squeezebox to their list of compatible PlaysForSure
hardware?
This
I can recommend dnsmasq for this job. It will act as a caching name
server and DHCP server for your LAN and it will automatically do DNS
for its DHCPed machines also.

Hi - wondering if this is a known issue - I am running 6.0.2 on a Mac

It's good to know they are working on it...though my curiosity is piqued
now - why is it so slow?
Is it scanning the ID3 tags?
If so, why doesn't it read the ID3 tags in the background, like Winamp
does?
If so, is there a playlist format that holds the ID3 information so the
slimserver wouldn't

album/artist views but when you go in through browse music folder
they are there and play no problem.

I thought that was supposed to be ignored as per server settings behavior

Also, I get:

the settings is just as it says: it ignores for sorting
For the Squeezebox to support DRM WMA, it would probably have to
support Windows Media Connect in addition to SlimServer.
Perhaps SlimServer could connect to WMC PC?
The solution would be transparent for the Squeezebox then.
Just an idea...

You'd have to do the DRM in the firmware, which is not open. The sb2s

formats - the new problem is I can't get my SB2 to find these
