Nokia 770 skin is already available for 6.5 slimserver, and I may have a working 6.2 version tomorrow or next week. When I do, I will post that info to the general forum. I've been talking on the dev forum only until I get a skin working on a released code version.

Indeed, if I was going to have a computer controlling sound output, with a central house amp and speakers going to each room (this is the way a lot of central sound stuff was installed not very long ago), I wouldn't use slimserver and certainly not softsqueeze. (It's not that I hate Java... it's

Do you really need a discussion on a PC vs. a Squeezebox? We're bickering over $250, low power, no noice whatsoever, and the (new) Squeezebox looks sweet. Not to mention my Squeezebox allowed me to remove 2 pieces of audio hardware from my audio setup in my living room which is worth a couple

* Ultramog shaped the electrons to say... I created an alias to my new external hard drive and put it in my Slim music folder. But SlimServer is not finding the music I put there. I tried a Find New and Changed Music and a Clear and Rescan. I'm on OS X (Tiger) and Slim Server 6.2.1. Any ideas?

Did this memory leak ever get resolved? I seem to be having a similar problem: Exception in thread AudioDecoder-1 java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space I already had my Max Heap size set to 128M, I have upped it to 256 to see if the situation changes any. With the mp3plugin SoftSqueeze

Let's assume I don't have an actual Squeezebox. If I just had a PC, loaded up Softsqueeze, connected my PC's digital out to my amplifier, would I really need to shell out all that money on an actual hardware SqueezeBox? No, you don't. There are a lot of reasons it anyway. But if you don't care

[slim] iTunes podcasts not podcasts

I have at least one podcast in iTunes that just won't show up in the slimserver as an iTunes podcast. My other podcasts are fine. I've tried a clean rescan and even deleting the sqllite database (after stopping the server of course). The podcast episodes are in the library because I can search
