run slim.exe and hence triggering constant iTunes library rescans.
Setting the iTunes reload interval to 0 is the right thing to do, but

I think this may be a bug but thought I'd check before I formally log
it as one... It appears that slimserver won't read through a Windows
Shortcut for playlists, although of course it does read through
shortcuts for the music files themselves.

linksys and smc) and they all have/had the option to allocate fixed

rescans, but each time one of the parameters must have been wrong).

make changes on all your network devices.

I can't seen to add to a playlist using the remote. I believe I followed
the instructions:
1. found an album
2. clicked the Add button
3. clicked Now Playing, Play and the the right arrow
4. named the playlist
5. found another album
6. clicked the add button
...but my second album was not

And it's been a few days. The iTunes Reload interval is 3600. Is
