I am still having problems trying to connect my squeezebox to my
wireless network. Let me explain what I have done so far.
I have my squeezebox (firmware v35, slimserver 6.2.2) wired into my
ADSL gateway, and it can then communicate to my wireless PC through the
gateway. This works great.

You should try the lastest slimserver 6.2.2 nightly, this includes
firmware v36. This firmware fixes compatibilty issues with some
routers/gateways.
Please be aware that some issues with WPA are still being worked on.

placed the gain as high as it could achieve. Recanning may pick it up

I finally got off my keister (how do you spell that?) and installed
6.2.2 and F/W 35 (March 28 nightly), as my SMC WBR14g was flaky with
6.2.1 F/W 28. So far all seems to be working A-OK. Fixed mine, and

Midway through the life of the Squeezebox2 we did switch to a new
wireless card. That new card is also used in Squeezebox v3.
Both the old and new card use an Atheros chipset, although the newer
card uses a different chip than the older card (AR5212 vs AR2413).

specific to the connection with slimserver. When I'm experiencing this
problem I can still connect and listen to streams on Squeezenetwork
without any problem - all wirelessly. My Slimserver PC is wired and my
SB3 is wireless.

I've marked a few of my playlists as favorites, but when I try to go
through favorites to play them, the server (6.2.1) goes 100% busy for
10 to 15 minutes, and then eventually starts playing the list.
These playlists are typically 1000-1500 tracks.
I don't have the problem if I just select the

(~12000 rather then ~6000). But the album count is roughly accurate

I can't seem to get COMPILATION=0 to be recognized by the server.
Everything with more than one artist on an album (such as an album with
one duet on it) is still displayed as a compilation even with that tag
set.

If you recently changed the name of your music folder or changed drive
letter designations (common with removable USB drives) then Slim Server
will report twice the songs. The cure is to rescan everything on your
library.
