After upgrading from 6.3 to 6.5 I have had nothing but
trouble with it skipping.
My standard tip after firmware updates: do a factory reset. Unplug the SB,
pres and hold ADD on the remote while you plug it in again. Redo the
configuration.

free and clear of obstructions. Even though you may be moving it away
from the SB by a few feet, putting the router on top of a cabinet or

I have been enjoying my Squeezebox for awhile, about a year now. It has

much later (but directly) and now have had their Transporters for
weeks. I can't understand how direct orders got priority over
Distributor ones and no-one at Slim seems willing to explain it,
despite several requests.

by rating (the rating in MIP) which works well.

SQLYog lets me look at the database, but its not really a report
writer. I have MS Access on my PC, but I get problems when I try and

Download one of mp3tag, Foobar or Tag&Rename (all free, at least to try

You can use the MySQL ODBC connector to fetch your data using Access,
Excel or whatever you want.

What I've got is this, each artist has a folder, in these folders are
then album folders so if an artist has say two albums then there are
two folders. However, over the years I have collected alot of single
tracks so what I've done is create 27 folders named thus:

i now have the clean install of the current 6.5.1 and as i thought, it
did nothing to help the problem.
the stream still stutters badly after just a few minutes or even
moments.
i tried it both on SS and on SN. same thing.
i have both set to buffer for 5 seconds, (3 is the default), but
I'm using SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 10526 on a Fedora 4 Linux machine.
After a harddrive failure and drive/directory reorganization of my music
files (20,000+ flac, I tried to restore my playlists from backup. Only
one song, or no songs at all in some cases are on the playlists, which

You can't stop displaying this field without manipulating the HTML
template. But you can bookmark the player with something like

Is there anyway to stop the dropdown box appearing so that the browser
is "locked in" to a particular player by url?
My brother does a lot of work for Nokia so can get hold of one 770 for

Yeah, this has been around for a while, and it isn't the only one of its
breed. (Don't feel like googling for its competitors) I saw this unit
back before I bought my SB3 when I was checking out the market for
these devices.
