Thanks Siduhe!! You solved the problem! After re-scanning the library there the MM icons are again!! I guess it was some conflict due to the two MusicIP services running at the same time. So the lesson is don't try to run MusicIP in headless mode as well as running the API from the MusicIP GUI!

Completely agree with you Pat and that's why I did put a warning in my previous posts about disabling the UAC. I'd recommend that those users uncomfortable with disabling it should following bergek's suggestion of starting the service manually. I do, however, think we've now worked out why SS won

I just noticed Capital FM have changed their streaming system - apparently you need a cookie now before they'll stream. I tried hooking up in my browser to get the cookie, then going to the slim picks and picking london/capitalFM, but it hangs trying to play the stream. Anyone solved this ? --

I'm running SlimServer Version: 6.5.2 - 11327 - Windows Server 2003 - EN - cp1252, and earlier also tried the official 6.5.1 on one of my machines and cannot get slimserver to repond. It comes up OK, tells me me lib size etc, but poops out as soon as I try to browse folders, artists, albums etc.

Thanks Aubuti. Sadly extra SBs are out of the current budget. What I would really like to understand is how I could technically achieve this with wireless speakers. I have read that the Saitek A-250 is a reasonable wireless stereo speaker - possibly not at a quality that would appeal to Audiophile
