run Slimserver and view the web interface but neither my Squeezebox or

The random mix selection page lets you select the genres you want
included in random mixes. If you give the songs you want excluded from
random mixes their own genre, you'll be able to deselect them on that
page and keep them out of random mixes.

You solved the problem! After re-scanning the library there the MM
icons are again!! I guess it was some conflict due to the two MusicIP
services running at the same time. So the lesson is don't try to run
MusicIP in headless mode as well as running the API from the MusicIP
GUI!

process before trying to install SS. Do CTRL+Alt+Del and select task
manager. Click the 'Processes' tab. Click on 'Image name' at the top

From what I read of this thread, I think you hit the nail on the head in the
last paragraph. When you are doing setup on the Transporter you need to
make sure the laptop is ready to go for adhoc, so that the Transporter is
able to connect to it.

Wireless speakers have a transmitter that plugs into your audio-out
connections and sends a signal to the speakers. I've never heard any
that impressed me.

Completely agree with you Pat and that's why I did put a warning in my
previous posts about disabling the UAC. I'd recommend that those users
uncomfortable with disabling it should following bergek's suggestion of
starting the service manually.
I do, however, think we've now worked out why SS won

large "work" as a separate album, and tag any bonus tracks as separate
tracks, not associated with the album.
Then, when you want to hear Mozart's 39th, you can play ONLY that, and

I just noticed Capital FM have changed their streaming system -
apparently you need a cookie now before they'll stream. I tried hooking
up in my browser to get the cookie, then going to the slim picks and
picking london/capitalFM, but it hangs trying to play the stream.
Anyone solved this ?

It took a while to be sure since the crash wasn't completely reliable.
The exclusions in Mcaffee were a pain in the butt, and didn't seem to
work with most settings attempted. Also the damn application has a
