Did you empty or rename your plugin directory before doing an upgrade?
If you upgraded from 3.x to 6.5.x, then I suspect that any plugin's you
had installed will no longer work.

Installed SlimServer 6.52 and found that my SB2 shows the date in
Chinese.
So I tried changing all system languages and region settings to
English, stopped and restarted SLimServer. Now the date for "Month"
and "Day" on the LED sh

An Onkyo is a good bet. They have plenty of power at resonable prices. I
have had several over the years and they never dissapoint. On the higher
end go with the lower end NAD series. Still better is the Rotel
integrated amp; I use that in one of my applications with my SB3 and it

Methinks you have javascript turned off on your browser. This is
exactly the behavior I'd expect if this was the case. Nokia770 skin

You could try NAD tuners, if you find a suitable amplifier. I just sold
a NAD 402 tuner on ebay for about £15 ($30). It's a great-sounding

1. WMP (Windows Media Player) 11 uses port 9000. Do you have WMP 11?
2. There was some obscure fix for the "service already running" error
which was out there 2 years ago or so. It used to be in the FAQ, can't

settings, and rescanning my library about 10 times, I'm almost
ready to throw in the towel.

10.4.9 using a Mac MINI as my server. Most of my music as Apple
Lossless, with 15-20% of it still AAC until I re-rip.
Have you tried re-intalling QuickTime after the 10.4.9 update? I know
there have been issues with DAWs (Pr
Try re-installing QuickTime. There have been issues with Pro DAWs
(ProTools, AVID) where you had to do this.
It should solve the problem, especially since SS makes calls to
QuickTime to do the transcoding.

I decided to set up a SS on file server, that runs on Windows Server
2003. The machine has couple of hard drives - one has been cleaned with
purpose for music.
Now I wanted to set that drive to be my Music Folder in SlimServer
setup.
Previously it was D, I wanted it to be E. But no!:

states "D:" not "D:/"...

So it appears you don't have Slim.exe running, but when run from the

that slimserver is one of the most complicated pieces of leisure time
software on my computer. In short from a UI perspective I think it is
really bad. Let me list some more or less randomly chosen examples of
what I mean:

There are some minor bugs with using port other than 9000 and so use
6.5.2 or better 6.5.3

I think that not all tags are correct. I've had also some strange
differences and i used M3tag for viewing all my tags of 700 albums and
there where several tracks with incomplete tags. I checked all tags and
corrected them. Now there is still 1 difference. Before it was more then
100.
