I restarted the router. No joy.
I closed the port triggers that were open for bittorrent and it started
working!
Set the bittorrent port under the virtual server tab in my router and
now i have the both working.

Your phone and wireless router/access point are likely both in the
2.4Ghz wireless range.
You need to go into the admin interface for the router and change the
wireless channel. You will have 11 to choose from.
You might also want to go get a phone that operates in the 5.2 Ghz
range.

I presume your SB is connecting to your network wirelessly. If this is
the case the likely cause is the wirless channel being used by the sb3
clashing with that used by the phone. Try to reconfigure your WAP to
use a different channel. If that doesn't resolve the problem get a
pair of netplugs

I have a recurring problem since switching to DSL high-speed internet.
When I use the phone, the SqueezeBox turns off. For calls out, simply
turning on the phone is the trigger. Both the phone and DSL share the
same jack, with s splitter. A filter is on the phone line, supplied by
Verizon. T
Jim C loves the 670, it's all about the buttons for him.
I prefer the 880. The buttons never bothered me, and I love the
recharge cradle and the color screen's ability to hold more text, and
it's two extra buttons.

670 as a middle point between the 550 and the 880 in terms of
functionality, but just a little more than the 550 in price.

Well, that's a bit complicated since my machine was configured by my
systems people at work. If I uninstall the software, it will be a

Thanks. I will try the XM removal first. Right after I reboot the
computer, cause SlimServer will not respond...Stopped it and tried to
restart but get warning that SlimServer "may be starting or stopping".
Windows Services says that it is stopping.

I was able to successfully add my music library to Slimserver, but when
I try to browse my music, it says "waiting for 127.0.0.1" and "loading"
and finally just returns with no response.

It's a neat idea as a very cheap PC, but not a great SlimServer remote
(any more than a laptop would be a good remote, which it isn't). A
tablet would be much nicer, but tablets are hideously expensive.

I have checked that in iTunes. Nothing is doubled. I do have some
duplicate songs, but they're from different albums (say the original
and a compilation). Of course I'd like to keep those, so they correctly
stay associated with both albums.

If the tags are properly set, and you dont care much about filenames (I
only use file tags in SB) you can use any automated tool like tag &
rename, foobar2000 or any standard renamer and just assign them
autonames. If I'm not mistaken, with tag & rename you can even copy the
title tag to the file
you need to change the filenames to ascii, but can have hebrew in tags.

collection, I know I couldn't tell when this occured to me. I think
itunes has a feature to view all duplicate files, just to check.
