I added tranck and album gain tags to all my files b/c I often listen in
random mode and got tired of constantly adjusting the volume.
In general, using the "smart gain" setting seems to work fairly well.
However, I find that for some tracks (source is very loud?) I still
fill the need to turn th
odd design decision anyway , I can imagine players getting lost in space
when mysb.com is involved.
Web UI should be able to fetch player unconditionally any bug on this

there are thoose running recievers without a controllers, I know they
should be completely aware that that mode of operation
Wonder if the jvc code support is at the fw level, the server
understands it and you can disable/eneble it on the server. So can a
jvc remote access th fw menus ?

I've never used it, but my understanding was that the script should
work for any ip3k based player: SB1, SB2, SB3, Transporter or Boom.

My device is a SlimDevices SqueezeBox v3. I'll take a look at the
thread suggested above as well. I also do have a few universal remotes
and wonder if anyone know of possible codes that might work for the
SqueezeBox.

Except if you use the Controller or iPeng which both can connect
unconnected players - although I'm not 100% sure iPeng will always work
for all player models.

error.
I get the error on my Squeezebox Radio, Controller and on Squeezeplay.
I hadnt thought to try the Facebook app through the web interface. That
works fine here as well.

I am experiencing the EXACT same problem that you describe.
The photos display just fine when running Squeezebox Server as a Web
application on my PC, but won't display on my Squeezebox Radio. I've
tried everything that I can think of to correct this problem with no
success. Can anyone help?

your VB and use it for your music library instead of a NFS network
drive.
SBS 7.6.1 works very well on my VortexBox Appliance with this setup.
Scanning times are significantly faster than with SBS 7.5.x.

I cloned my live server (after moving the players to my backup server)
and used the web interface to update VB.
No errors reported.
Rescan results:
1. discovering files/directories 27212 in 52 seconds (Wow!)
2. scanning new files 23756 in 19:24 (Wow!)
3. pre-caching arwork 1888 of 1908 in 17:08
I have two Linux servers running in my home (Vortexbox and Linkstation),
and all is golden regarding seeing players on the "other" server, and
moving them around from the web interface. I suppose Linux hosts are
less likely to have security software that could defeat the discovery
mechanism?

If you keep or mimic your old network setup then you should be able to
just plug everything in and it should work.
The following software tool is a little geeky, but it should work for
the Squeezebox as well as it does for the Receiver.

No. CLI from iPeng works just fine but then iPeng looks for servers
itself.

that should be fixed was it not a 7.5.x problem for a while, it has
been broken on earlier versions to, but afiak it should work

They indeed look nice. But talking about support: Some people here are
complaining about Logitech's support, but with the Philips players the
support is non-existent. I have one Streamium device (NP2900). Now
waiting for more than a year for a promised firmware update that will

Picard is MusicBrainz, not MusicIP. MusicIP and MusicBrainz are not at

players menu. SBS web UI "grabbing" players has been broken for quite
a while.
