I have to chip in and say that I was suffering the .MYI crashes quite
frequently.
I configured my virus scanner (Symantec) to ignore .MYI and .MYD files
along with the directory in which they're found.
The crashes continued so I wasn't convinced this was the cause.

iTunes Update is the plugin that doesn't work well with SlimServer as a
service (although there are workarounds).
If you had 6.3 running not as a service you should have no trouble doing
the same with 6.5 - the procedure is exactly the same.

Hmmm. The error message indicates no genres found, which means it can't
submit tags to LastFM.
It appears you will get these errors even if tag submission is off.
However I can't see what could have generated all the other errors.
I tried this myself with a track with no genres and it worked fine.

It will be interesting when Sean or Dean describe how the digital
inputs / outputs and selections will work on the Transporter. I
speculate that cement is still wet as these features can probably be
accomplished in software / firmware.

There was a change in the split-scanner release that
A) stopped the plugin from getting track info
B) stopped displaying titles in the 'now playing' screen.
I've just posted a fix for A on my website, but B needs fixing in
SlimServer.

Unfortunately I don't think there's anything to be done about the delay
- the script checks what iTunes is doing once a second already, so I
guess most of the delay comes in from SlimServer cueing up the file and
any buffering done in the Squeezebox.

You can change the screensaver from both.
In SlimServer's web interface, go to player settings for the
appropriate player (if you have more than one), then scroll down to
screensavers.
It's in pretty much the same place in the player menus.

I fell in love with Itunes music server and how EZ it is to arrange,
sort, create playlists quickly and intuitively with Roku. Now I am
painfully and excruciatingly trying to do the same in Slimserver, with
every mouse clicks result in webpage refresh, no way to sort,

I know that there's an option to import m3u files to iTunes - have you
tried this with the SlimServer files? ( I've never used it myself.)
Alternatively my iTunesUpdate plugin can save the current playlist
directly to iTunes, as long as you're running both SlimServer iTunes
on the same XP box...
Unfortunately the guy who wrote the iTunes Update OSX code for me
couldn't get it to work on saving the playlists!
