After reading my post I realized I should give more info. It is only the "play key" that does not seem to operate correctly. Is there any setting or reason why when turning on the unit and using the browse music folder section and selecting a track or album and pressing "play" it should not play?

I have run into the same issue, but with an SB2. I could only get a conenction by disabling the turbo mode. This is what D-Link support staff advised me to do, saying they are havign many instances of the problem. Since the Sb2 and occasionally a laptop are the only things that use wireless in

The most recent post here reminded me that I had recently tested AES support using a Belkin Pre-N MIMO AP/router (F5D8230-4), but forgot to post my results here. This model does not yet support WPA2, but does support WPA and AES, but it does not work with SB2. Only WPA/TKIP works. -- MrC

I too am having problems successfully configuring my sb2 to speak more secure forms of WPA, or WPA2 in any form. I've just updated the firmware on my sb2. It will work (is working) on the most basic configuration: 802.11g, WPA Personal, TKIP I'd be happy if I could at least reach WPA + AES.

So far it was 6.1.1 for everyone, but now we have someone reporting it also in 6.0.1. Please Mike tell us if the wipe cache solves the problem for you. It makes it easier to narrow down where to look for errors. It's possible this error is already fixed in 6.2 which is going to be released soon

It shouldn't be too hard (on Unix anyway) to cheat to have it add new songs with a proper scan: use the CLI to check the contents of the folder that the new tracks are in, and that should add them to the database. If I trusted abcde, what I use to rip/encode, to always be exactly right, I'd tack

There are 2 ways to scan the music directory. One is the rescan button. The other wipes the cache of existing music and then scans fully. I'm not sure of the exact meaning of each scan, but the second one makes fewer assumptions and so gets it right more often in odd situations. Have you tried t

If its complaining that it can't find a DHCP server then it sounds as if the SB2 is trying to connect using the wired LAN, which I believe it does by default if it detects a network cable plugged in (this being a sensible choice). Somewhere you should have a setup option to tell it to enable brid

Hmm- Still no workie here. I've got a tested, known-good crossover cable and a tested, known-good Ethernet - USB 2.0 adaptor (Linksys USB200M) and I get to a "DHCP server not found" screen and no further. What I don't know about networks could fill several volumes. Does anyone have a suggestion
