I travel up and down I-5, between Everett and Seattle, every day. Do you
happen to know if the repeater is reachable on that route? I tried it with my
IC-92AD and couldn't make contact.
Also, I work over by the Boeing plant in Everett. Is it reachable in that area?
Thanks,

How much trouble is there in tuning a duplexer? I'm not equipped, at present,
with a lot of test equipment. I suspect I could get one pre-tuned to a test
frequency pair but eventually it would be moved to a cordinated pair and I'd be
stuck with tuning it. :-) I'm sure I could get local
Might have to go that way, with the uncordinated pair first. The cordinator in
my area says they try to avoid paper repeaters and suggest I get equipment up
and running first. ;-) But they did say that I should be able to get one for
my area.
Lots of good information in this thread.

I have been thinking about setting up a D-Star repeater. I don't have access

One thing it looks like I missed is a duplexer. Right? What kind of duplexer
is needed/compatible/desireable for a D-Star repeater? Would the requirements
for the duplexer be any different than for an analog repeater?
What else have I left out?
Is that really a good idea, considering the field is 8 character limited.

I have an IC-92AD and was looking at the ID-800H and 2820 for a base radio.
But I noticed the following statement on the ID-800H page...
The Digital features of the ID-800H are compatible with IC-2200H, IC-V82 and
IC-U82 radios with the optional UT-118 installed.
This didn't mention the 2820
