I have received enough replies to report the trend. With one
exception no problems were reported. The list of brands was most of
the mid to major names such as Dell, LG, HP, Acer, ViewSonic, Planar,

that sounds like a voltage drop under load, i.e. lower voltage to the temp
measurement sensor and thus a lower reading under load. Maybe time to

Just checked the Fair-rite website, and the type 31 cores are indeed there.
But they aren't easy to find. You need to go to Products then Cable
components then EMI suppression beads.
They have a wide variety of part numbers using type 31 material.

experience, though, with dual receiver radios at the contest station of
K8AZ. I just had to have one. I wear headphones, so I have the DX in my left

I'm sure it's something simple. Haven't yet set band power for the KPA500 but
that is next. Nice job Elecraft. Nothing missing and other than a cockpit error

My old 2003 KX1 has low level LED/CPU switching noise.
The switching noise frequency is lower on L1 and higher (and amplitude higher)
on L6 (Brightest Level #6).
L4 is about 80 Hz.

In the KPA100 Manual there is a warning not to use standard RS-232 cables
between the K2 SIO and a PC (only pins 2, 3 and 5 are normally connected)
