I recall reading that a K3/100 can remotely control another K3, but can't
find the info now. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Tnx,

I'm posting this for a friend who is not a lilst subscriber.
He believes that the Elecraft remote commands are the same as Kenwood's. Is
this correct?
If so, could the K3/0 be used to control a TS480 or 590?
I'll fwd the responses.
Tnx,

do a
pretty good job of this using band noise alone. Generally speaking, you
should expect signals in the Beverage direction to be as strong or stronger
in the Beverage vs inv L and vice versa in other directions.

Running in FixTrack mode, while tuning, I noticed a spike moving in the
opposite direction and about twice as fast as the rest of the crowd. I
didn't hear anything when I tuned to its frequency. What is it?

I have had my KX3 since the beginning of the year and I have not reset
the clock since, and it is now 4 minutes ahead of the actual time. I'll
leave it until next year and see how it goes.
May I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

with the
simplest first as a trial. You might just want to stay with that
configuration. Right now, there are at least 5 of us using the easy way
and all seem happy.

Yep, I saw that same post and tried lower tones the other day. For now I
settled at 500 Hz, like the improvement (over my old 650) and may go lower.

go with. I went the '0202 because it was
cheaper than some of the others at the time and yet had good specs. But,
I suspect that opening this discussion up to sound card choices would be
like a discussion on what is the best antenna.:-)

Guys,
The one that really works well is NaP3. It was originally set up
for the K3, but the latest iteration does a great job on the KX3. I've
been running with the software for about a year or so, and I now don't
know how function without it.

Everybody,
I see a real problem here. Please someone open up the authority,
Krause, and see what he says. His work is the basis of a whole lot of
what we have today.

No. I expected someone who is an engineer and commands the language
better than I to explain that they are not the same and how they fit
together thereby adding a little enlightenment to this thread.
