I think it would depend on the type of connector the
Heil adapter users to connect to the Heil mics (not
sure what that is) and what the Heil adapter expects
each pin on the mic to be;i.e., AF, up/dn, PTT, etc.
Probably might not be a good match w/a non-Heil mic.
But, maybe.

I'm using a Kenwood MC-60A desk mic. Looking at the

identical except for pins 5 6. So, I'm thinking if I

Don,
thanks for the reply. I may not have been clear in
my original Post, but what I want to do is have the
mics be interchangeable; i.e., be able to use either
mic on either rig, not just on a specific rig. Sounds
like that may not be possble, based on your reply?

Has anyone besides me noticed that if you order the

Is there, or are there any plans to add, a firmware

Read through all the K3 posts (fortunately in Digest
format)and have two more questions:
1. Does the K3 have a Time-Out Timer?
2. The spec sheet mentions an MH2 hand mic a DM3

Will the DM3 come later?

Hi,
while I haven't tried this, why not run a plug-in
cable from the rear audio jack to a DPDT switch in a

Basic connection between PC -- SL-1+ -- K2, in my
setup is:
Two stereo cables from soundcard (1ea for mic in

Mono cable from K2 rear spkr jack to SL-1+ rear

RJ-45 to 8-pin round mic connector cable from SL-1+

Hi,
Dan,
while not a hand mic, I use the Kenwood MC-60A desk
mic with my K2. Got it on eBay for about 50-60% of the
new price. Haven't had a lot of air time due to
non-Ham obligations, but it seems to put out a decent
signal. It has the up/dn keys pre-amp, and is wired
per the K2 manual.
Hi,
anyone using the Yaesu YH77STA headphones with their
