The 5 pole SSB is probably just fine for most people. I would suggest
the 400hz CW filter.
If you are going to hook the radio up to a computer for contesting etc
you will probably want the KIO board and if you use receive antennas the
Xvtr board.
I have two K3's and love them!

Does the L7 have a tuned input? If so you might need to adjust the
tuned input on each band for the best match to the rig.

He says it is happening with an Alpha 89 too. Something is not right.
What happens when you hook the antenna directly into the K3?

That is exactly how the tuning relay works. It interrupts the ptt line
so the amp cannot key while the SteppIR is moving. N8LP also makes a
box for those that do not have the new controller that will do the same
thing.

I believe you can also purchase a can of deoxit and spray it liberally
on the pins and connector side and carefully plug and unplug the board a

You might be able to purchase a cord with the 240v USA end on it and the
molded amp plug on the other end. There are numerous types of 220/240
outlets. The other option is buying the cord from Elecraft and cutting
the end off.

Yes. It allows quite a bit of flexibility. If the amp is in standby
the radio can be set to 100w out. When the amp is in OPER mode the
radio will lower the power to the output of your choosing.
