1. "What the hell is that?" Ive written some of the widget locations for E17 to make themeing easier. I know when I started on Fireball I bugged a lot of people on IRC asking about these. Hey, I always found that theora is not a very good codec (old technology based on a On2's codec named VP3). I wanted to add a lossless encoding so that the resulting video can be then compressed with the codec you want, with the options you want (mencoder, avidemux, transcode, etc... can do

The biggest problem with OpenID is that its not very good for desktop apps. (it requires a browser and too many steps to allow apps to authenticate) So, any apps that would use the exchange API would suffer.. There is a public authentication system from google that's similar to openID but friendli

Exchange <- read the name! ;) Its not a one-way street You should be able to both download and upload. Its all about sharing. Plus, how are you going to rate things and add comments if you cannot authenticate? If you need to open a browser everytime, no one's gonna do it and that'll kill the commun
