First - thanks to everyone who commented about Exmerge last week. It was
extremely useful.
I was able to export everything out of the mailboxes using the utility, but
what about public folders? Is there a utility to do the same?

After a long search on Microsoft, TechNet, support etc I found out that the ExMerge.exe tool and documentation are available on the Exchange 2000 compact disc in the following folder: SUPPORT\UTILS\I386\EXMERGE.
BUT I do not have Exchange 2000 I am running
I am testing Exmerge to dump all of our mailboxes to PST's so they can
be imported after we migrate to Lotus Notes (not my decision). I
exported an 8gb mailbox with Exmerge and the PST file was only 2gb. I am
guessing it is using the old style PST that maxs out at GB. Is this

Im just hopping on the thread but if you are pulling all the data why
couldn't you just move the mdbs? Must have been a reason. Exmerge
doesn't do PFs unless I think you can assign a mailbox to the PF and
then it would populate the exmerge? The other way is to crack out to a

their inbox used to place spam that they receive and using exmerge to pull
all their messages to psts. What I would like to do is have all the messages
go into one pst and not 700. This would not even be close to 2GB of

Seriously, search the MS KB for the tool used to recovery from
mass-mailing worms. I think it was called "wormhelp" or "wormtool". It
contains a reasonably current release of ExMerge for Exchange 5.5 as part of
the package.

I'm using an admin account so...And yes there are free space.

If you have the entire Exmerge package, there is a 60 page MS-Word doc that
covers all the options available in Exmerge.
You should be able to specify only messages with the SCR file attachment.
The document is very detailed and if you can't do it in the GUI itself, you

the 3 files that are necessary for it to run. So I have no documentation

This used to be MS PSS's first response for just about any
malfunction limited to a single mailbox. I guess they assume the
mailbox is corrupt
