I ask because at a former employer, the Desktop Apple support team would ask us to do this EVERYTIME the Entourage client took a dump. On my '03 servers, rebuilding the mailbox has fixed the issue once. An issue that ended up coming back 2 months later and impacting 3 (original+2 friends) people.
