X is started witd /etc/X11/X, which is a symlink. So it can point to the
XF4 binary (XFree86), or the XF3 (XF86_*).
I reported this bug with 7.1 beta3 more than a week ago but I see it is
also present in the final 7.1 (Helium).
I did an "expert" install of Mandrake 7.1 (Helium) choosing practically
everything minus tetex, databases and some special development packages
which I don't need.

You are missing a compiler component or the compiler itself failed to
install. Put your Drake CDROM in then open /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS look for
gcc files. I am at work on an NT box so I can't give you the actual name.

To find a file use "find /directory -name filename" or "find

Hello all. I want to give anonymous ftp access on my box here. I am able to
login properly. I've change the pub dir to 777 (just to see if that would
