How du i install grub as bootmanager (i have just installet wintendo and
lost it) - running "grub-install /dev/hda" doesent seam to work.
cd /boot/grub
chmod +x install.sh
./install
That did the trick for me ;) (LM 7.2 or 7.1)

Have you set a frambuffered video mode? Please refer to the documentation
in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/fb/ for a listing of modes.
You need to add the line vga=788 to your lilo.conf file and then run
/sbin/lilo
The when you reboot it should run Aurora. See my example of my lilo.conf
file below.

You might need to set frame-buffer for your kernel. You should be able
to do this with drakboot, I think you need the option "vga=782" (not
sure about the mode number)

I am having sound problems in games. Im running Mandrake 7.2 on a SB64 ISA.
XMMS works perfectly in both oss mode and eSound. But when I play games
like Unreal Tournament or BZFlag i have no sound. Lets just say that the
sound doesnt work in any game. ;-) Anyone out there that can

When I ran an FTP server last year I avoided wu-ftp like the plague. I found proftpd
much faster and it has less holes. It also was easier (for me) to configure.

system, I've been having trouble with xfs.
I used the strong truetype checking option to help avoid problems, but
when xfs is started as the xfs user it gives the following error and dies.
