hi all,
i currently have a 10/100 ethernet card which uses the rtl8139C chipset.
i have it mostly working on the 8139too driver, but it is somewhat flaky.

I am running Mandrake 8.1, the Download Edition, which I ordered from
EverythingLInux (http://www.everythinglinux.com.au) on pressed CD's. It
works outstandingly well. :)

During the instalation process I selected "clean /tmp on boot"
but to my surprise on boot I have the following in /tmp. I noticed this
as sometimes KDE gives an error such as "You are not the owner of
/tmp/mcop-jp"

I have copied the files from all 3 CDs onto an ftp server so I can do
ftp installs, but when I select new software to install with software
manager, I still have to put in the CDs. Instead of shuffling CDs in and
out of CD-ROM, is there anyway to have package manager retrieve file

with Linux on a "marginal" box, and then, because it is so much better, move

No way to load L.M. 8.1 even if I had installed in an disk over the

Therortically, any bttv based card should work to watch TV on your computer screen.
This has nothing to do with TV out though. This is about the video card. It is my
theroy that you would need a card that supports TV out under linux, perhaps an ATI
