I just downloaded and installed the latest kde 3.0.1 rpms for Mandrake 8.2.
All is well except for a problem with konsole. I start the konsole from the
kpanel and the konsole
This is a known problem with KDE3, the workaround is to delete the Konsole
icon from the kpanel bar and start it from the menu, or to make a shortcut
for it on the desktop, this should be fixed later on in a subsequent release
of KDE3.X

When i click on an mp3 file my file browers close. And
noatun doesn't work. That may be the prob but there is
no rpm that i could find to just reinstall it. Anyone

Finally...they got rid of my favorite design system! I LOVED the System++
look. I cannot find it now. All I can find are gnarly/ugly qt stuff.
The window resizing problem is mostly not there, so it
seems. Huh? I mean that SOME windows have done this
to me, particularly if I start a configuration utility
outside of the kcontrol. If I configure the same
things from within kcontrol, it fits properly within
the window and screen and
