DDR video card. To get 3d opengl hardware acceleration I had to download,

Having problem installing Mandrake 7.2. Have read all the fixes and nothing
works. Can I just install Mandrake 7.1 and run Mandrake_Update and point it
to the CD's?
I am attempting to update from Mandrake 7.0 -> 7.2 (Powerpack Deluxe).
As usual, I made a bootdisk and ran it -- but it could not mount my
SCSI CD (although it seems to have recognized that it is SCSI).
The error message is:

I upgraded my Mandrake 7.1 system to 7.2 and all appeared to go well until I
restarted the system after the install had finished.
The system froze on boot up when starting NFS. I managed to boot into run
level 3 (init 3) with no problems and got KDE/X running by issuing startx.
