That's so sad, thanks for posting about this incident at Best
Friends. There are lots of was of dealing with pee on carpets -
including diagnosis and treatment by a vet, ripping up the carpet,
keeping the cats in a restricted area, enzyme spray(works great) for
the carpets, etc.

fosters but due to illness and other issues we ended up keeping them), our cat
Stinky (how appropro) has been peeing everywhere. Thank goodness we have only
one area rug -- which of course, he does not pee on. He pees
