Yvonne,
I hope Peanut is doing better sincestaying at the vet. Please let us knowif there is any change.
Best wishes,

Thanks Belinda all of you for your support prayers. The
vet called Peanut's liver values were all elevated. Her bilirubin
white count were thru the roof. He thinks that cholangiohepatitis is
the most likely culprit. I took her to the vet for 3 days of supportive
care treatment (IV
Hi Belinda,
At this point, Peanut is not scheduled for surgery, but a feeding tube is
just an option I'm considering, depending on how things go the next several
days.

Leslie,
I can't tell you how heartened I am to hear your story about Goliath.
Even Peanut's ears were yellow when I dropped her off...I was pretty scared, but
I'm starting to calm down now. Her bilirubin was 10.8 I guess normal
is .1 to .4. Her white cell count was a whopping 44,000
Thank you so much, Tonya!

Hi Belinda,
Could you please add Peanut to the special needs list? She came to me 2 months ago with 2 of her companions, from a bad situation, she is now having issues with her liver. I am waiting on results of her bloodwork urinalysis. I have been syringe feeding her through the night, but
liver values almost to normal by shrinking the lymphoma.

Thanks so much Michelle! I will ask. Peanut did have sub-q's
yesterday. I was hoping that she would perk up, but she is very, very
weak...she can barely change positions, but I'm not giving up. From what
the assisted feeding list said, these cats can be very weak sick

Hi Yvonne,
I hope it isn't hepatic lipidosis, the only thing that will reverse
that is enough food. The liver is one of the organs that
definitely can heal itself, but if she is jaundice from not eating
enough then food, more importantly enough food is the only way to save
her. Not saying

Thanks, Belinda,
I just called the vet again...still in surgery. They said he'll be
done at 2:30. Meanwhile, I'll keep plugging away at the A/D.

Thanks Diane,
Honestly, it does sound like the feeding tube would be waaay easier for
Peanut, not to mention me. It's nice to hear about it from someone who's
been there. I just hope Peanut hangs in there long enough to get to that
point. You're in WI, aren't you? I'm in the Milwaukee area.
Hi Yvonne,
Did I miss something in your email, I didn't realize he was going to
have surgery???

We also turned Goliath around from liver failure... the vet said he was sending him home to die that there was nothing he could do. He said he was one of the worst cases he had seen (Goliath was almost completely yellow). We fed Goliath every 2 hours for almost 2 months... he got SamE (or the
