Amy,I am so sorry to hear about Rocket. I know it seems quiet at your house right now. As far as getting a puppy I think I would wait. Having a baby is such a hard job by itself that I don't think I'd want to take on a new puppy at the same time.If you do decide to get a dog I recommend

Amy, I am so, so sorry. I would not go out and get a puppy right now, for various reasons. If you feel like you really do need to adopt another Great Dane, though, please look into Great Dane rescue groups so you can actually save a dog rather than buying one from a breeder. I think that

aw, amy, i'm so sorry you lost your dane. of course dogs are just as important members of our families as our kitties are, and i bet that the cats DO miss him dearly, too. if this is your first baby, i would probably think that you might just want to wait until you get used to what changes that

Amy, I'm sorry for your loss, I have added Rocket to the CLS Service for next week. As far as getting a puppy, what other people think or want isn't important, you know what you're capable of and what you can handle. I wish you the best in your decision. -- Belinda happiness is being
