I am experiencing Rx issues after upgrading the Flex 1500 to PowerSDR
2.0.16.
1. Click and crackles in receive audio on some signals. Click sounds like
a relay switching. Intermittant in nature, seems to be more prevalent with
stronger signals. Buffer set to max size, 2048.
2. Panadapter
I have noticed some crackling in the receive audio on my 1500 with the audio
level slider at the highest setting, that seems to go away if I back it down
some. I assumed it was just overdriving the amplified speakers I am using.

Bill,
I have asked engineering to see if they can reproduce cracking audio. I
have not seen this before here.
We are working now on increasing the sensitivity of the wide band image
rejection (WBIR) algorithm, which should clear up those moving images you
are seeing.

The FLEX-3000 the FLEX-5000 both the receive and the transmit audio

In order to keep the data transfer rate required low enough to allow

We will be working on FM early in 2.1.

I've never really understood why the mike and speaker/headphones plug in
to the Flex rather than the PC. Of course, if your PC lacks any audio
interfaces, it wouldn't be possible, but most PCs have at least

I would like to add also mine personal opinion about the subject, as for
me it's really hot.
Here not everything was compared to everything other in scientific
approach, nonetheless I would give my vote to FLEX. IMHO.
I wouldn't bother on numbers but on usability. I am devoted to RTTY. My

In the Windows sound devices, Recording tab, set the VAC output line to be
the default Recording device.
Then launch the Windows Sound Recorder.
Or find a WAV or MP3 recording program that lets you choose which sound card
to record from.

I understand how having the highest quality A/D and D/A converters, having
