I think you mean by tuning, adjusting the frequency? Jim your Wireless mouse shoulld work as long as PWSDR has 'Focus'. Each wheel click will change frequency in relation to the Tune Step setting you have chosen. But if you move the Focus to a logging program or whatever, it will no longer

Clay an question I think I can answer. If you got to the antenna selection for 6 meters the amount of gain your preamp has can be entered into the 'Gain' box. According to the manual, I think that will made the adjustment/compensation automagically.
