ontest and even with the dynamic range of the
1500 and an Elecraft 2m transverter, it overloaded when a nearby station
was also on 2M (it turns out I caused him similar problems and he was
running a 5000). The joys of sitting near the top of a mountain.

program. Not using any CAT functionality or VAC SW.

His influence will live on in every Flex software defined radio.
He will not be forgotten.

My only request for this is that, if possible, this code run on the
older ShuttlePro. I don't know what the differences are but the older
one seems to work just fine. I know that the ShuttlePro software can
tell them apart.

for the VHF contest January 22. Basically I need to sit on 144.200 and
be able to monitor the 20KHz above that. I haven't decided if I want to
also use it for 6M receive - I have a TS480 for that but I really like
the PSDR interface for tracking activity.

have to mix them together ... it gets too difficult to separate them.
I haven't noticed any extra background noise from the headset but I will
check that more carefully tonight.

So I take it that if one headphone output is not connected to anything it
doesn't hurt it. I grew up in the world where you always wanted a load on an
amplifier output.

pipe firewire over to windows either ... it is
probably a driver issue.

Hi Neal,
Thanks for the reply.
Been thinking about the mac mini or imac,
But no firewire on os x parrallels for Flex-3000 or 5000.
Thought maybe the Flex
ally going to work in the real world - it does
run other sound editing software (like stuff for my DCC Sound decoders
on my model railroad) just fine but that doesn't mean that it can deal
with full duplex data streams at 48KHz that the radio needs to see.

rs on the front end. Downeast is working
on a PLL LO that will lock to a 10MHz reference. They also have options for
daisy chaining them.
If you need more than 144/432 mhz you will want to use transverters.
