The AIAircraft FDM will do it. A non-flapping bird, like an orbiting hawk
will be easy (it's just like the KC-135). The flapping kind will take some
animation work. As for flocking behavior, that's a whole 'nother thing.

the 737-300 model in FlightGear, flaps 1 gives a value of 0.125
for flaps_norm, so the result is:
0.9678 + 0.375 = 1.3428
It's in the ballpark anyway :)

On startup with --disable-sound I still get what sounds like an inner marker
sound for about four seconds. After that the sounds are disabled.
