Not sure what you're asking. I can say that the same FrameMaker file with
imported by reference SVGs was noticeably smaller than imported by
reference PDFs. No idea why.
The resulting PDF is big no matter which is used, so I customarily optimize
the PDFs, turning off all image compression. The PDF
Lin, does FM recognize that imported reduced file size - by copy or
reference - PDFs as smaller?

of people using that version because it's an antique.

Yes, it's there in FM 7, but Jo is running FM 6.
Which is why she needs to use the * to specify discrete files in the
Printer dialog's Destination (?) field.

y work machine has 7.2 on it and those options are there. I don't have access
to 8 here so I can't say whether they kept it. I can't see why Adobe would have
dropped that option though.
