boss has mentioned that all of this can be accomplished very
easy on the ascend box itself as opposed to making changes in freeradius.
Can anyone speak to either method?

Hey thanks for the suggestion. Right now I'm looking at MAX TNT and the
Auth-Timeout parameters on the ascend box. Perhaps these values were
set to low. This is just a guess..
