Freevo will use whichever python is named /usr/bin/python; so if you
symlink python2.3 to python then it'll work. The thing to remember is
that you will need to make sure you have Python 2.3 versions of the
modules installed...

channel id (i.e. your C02wzzm.linkit.com) and the other is the more

think some simple front end for vobcopy and mencoder would suffice. It

I would definitely, definitely avoid it. The PVR USB model is a
workable option, but USB isn't fast enough to provide raw video to
Linux.
The PVR model uses relatively low bitrate MPEG2, so it's passable, but
using a card (or a firewire/USB 2 tuner, if they exist) would be a
better option.

the framebuffer/mga mode. If you're in X, you'll need to disable X

need out of the box versions of DirectFB and SDL. If your distribution

need to either upgrade to the CVS version or wait for a new release...

As far as I know, they both use the same encoder chip, so you wouldn't
need to do anything different for the 350. Still, it's worth doing the
kernel patch if you can.
