My Pismo 400 had a Mat drive that developed a problem...It started to make grinding noises on different cd's and dvd's and shortly thereafter it got to where pressing the button on the side wouldn't even open it up. I had to use the end of a paper clip in the little hole to get it to open. Once

Well, I turned off Rendezvous and it seems to have stopped the mysterious random dialling when on dialup internet access with 'connect when needed' turned on. I'll have to wait a few more days before passing final judgement on this solution (as opposed to turning off network time synch... haven't
