Does anyone know where I can get a manual for a Wallstreet. I need to
know how to take it apart and upgrade the hard drive for a friend. I've
done this on my Pismo but I can't seem to get the Wallstreet apart and
don't want to force the issue.
Any help appreciated.

Funny. The Tampa store on Hillsborough as well as the one on Dale Mabry the

I've got copy of Panther which my wife uses on her iBook. Have tried XPoatFacto - but
something seems to go wrong during installation. Have an 8 GB partition for OSX; a
separate 20 GB partition for Classic; and another 2GB on a removable HD for OS 9.2.2.
No luck so far.
Since I bought Panther
There are a handful of different active SCSI termination IC's. I'd
suggest Googling the numbers on the IC's around the SCSI port.
You should be able to see a bad SCSI line with voltmeter. Just look for
signal pins not pulled up. If you find a terminator IC with a low
signal pin on it, replace
PRAM battery is new. The battery shows that it is fully charged though

I've come to suspect the PRAM.

Is that the exact size? I seem to recall one should aim for more like 7.3

I have a Pismo 500Mhz that cant find the startup drive when I do a

Does anyone know if it's possible to re-flash the ROM with the same

Yes, I did try a different hard drive. both apple ROM'd by the way.
I also should have mentioned that the hard drives wont spin back up
after a restart. Also, if you have a system install CD in the DVD
drive, it will
find that and start but the HD wont show up on the desktop because

Which version of OS X are you referring to, Bruce?
The one named Puma (10.0 up to 10.1.5, I believe),
Jaguar or Panther? Or maybe Leopard?
I'm told there are fundamental differences between or
amongst all three (four).

Sorry, Dean, but could this be part of the ongoing
Pismo problem? If so, I'm glad I settled for an

Thanks, Mike,
I found it interesting, and also the thread that developed gave me a bit

She can burn a CD with the songs and then rip it to the new computer.

There are shareware and freeware apps. for the Mac where you can
transfer songs from the iPod to your computer. I'm sure there are
probably similar apps. that will work with a PC. Check the iPod lounge:
