It's hard to say, Apple did a good job over the last year of falling
completely out of their upgrade cycle in several lines. The iMac G5
has remained the same since September when it was released. Typically
apple revamps each series every 6 months or so, so March-April would be
a good guess,
Why get a larger one?
More processing power than the 12 model? a laptop that I don't have
to crouch in on my lap in order to keep it from falling off?
BTW, I wish I had sprung for that superdrive now, sure would have come
in handy a few weeks ago.

The other day I had some interesting things happen. I shut down my
iBook, and sat as it took longer than normal to power down. I let it
sit, came back to it a few minutes later to a black screen, so it
looked to be shut down as best as I could tell. Closed the lid, and
set it aside for the

I've waited 17 days as of today for my iBook to be done. i won't go

I just called Apple wanting to know what is going on with my iBook.
The replacement LCD for it still has not arrived, and I will have to

turned it in on the 7th, so right now we stand at 13 days since I

All i can tell you is that I've been told that if the iBook's HD makes
anymore noise than a light whirr it's dying or dead. Needs to be
serviced. Is it a G4 iBook? What I'm wondering is, is it new enough
to be covered under warranty, or does it have current applecare?
If so, take it in.
. Hang in there. I know
how you feel.

Well, apparently all does not end well. The software related problem,
as the genius at the apple store did indeed turn out to be a
hardware problem this morning, as I originally suspected, and the

Anyone know how I can get the track info for all the songs I've already
