It does seem likely to be a timeout as my DSL connection has been very

Folks,
Mail will often, but not always, ask for my password even though it's not
changed for years. This was a problem in 10.3 and continues even today (3
times thus far). I always reenter it and click the box to add it to the
Keychain, but it just doesn't seem to stick. I've run Preferential
I'm not sure that you can run a Pismo closed with or without an external

that its screen was roughly level with the monitor. This left most of
I've bought RAM for my C-600, Pismo and iMac G5 from them and have never had

Then I'd get an external firewire HD. Your cost per GB is far cheaper if you
go with a 3.5 HD. And if you're collecting MP3s then you really want as
much space as you can reasonably afford. I'm running with an external 60 and
120 GB HD and there's only about 45 GB free between the two due to my
The easiest way is to just get a 911 case for the 60 GB once you dismount it
from the iMac. That way you can switch the 60 GB between computers as you
see fit. If you do get an external case get one that doesn't need a fan;
you'll appreciate the quiet.

Exactly what you upgrade to depends on your budget and needs.

It actually depends on your Firewire enclosure. Older ones are only ATA-5
compliant so cannot go beyond 128GB. Newer (more expensive) ones are ATA-6
compliant and can handle some ungodly size of HD.
