I thought one other feature that the PowerBooks have over the iBooks was a CardBus
(PCMCIA) slot. Maybe that's changed with the new G4 iBook?

I just checked at Apple.com and you're right, the 12 PB does not have the PC Card
slot though the 15 and 17 PBs do have it. What's the screen resolution and color
depth on these things though?

being the socialist state that it is, may have just moved to their own time
zone overnight, so I may have to check that out also.

not sure I can justify the extra money if it's not likely to outlast the
iBook in terms of becoming obsolete.
There is also the option of getting a refurbished TiBook (I'd
recommend smalldog.com) for about the same
it'll be only a matter of time until the
iBooks too get a G4
