Personally I kind of agree with you on the thing about percussion... but I believe that those 2 mk tracks were deliberately bad ones. Look up mortal kombat Armageddon's metior storm track. Now that, I feel, is one of the better tracks. I tried it in the back of mk vs dcu - what mk 9 is sounding

Hi, Well, I do not believe it is so much laziness as it has to do with cost. It costs serious money to hire musical talent to do music tracks for the background and even though these companies have millions to spend on development after creating several Mortal Kombat games etc they probably have

While I don't mind the MK soundtracks, I don't think there's any excuse to not have any music design that's new and fresh. True, cost is an issue, and if that's the case then.. well, life's life. But SF and soul calibur have had quite a few games, and each game has had drastically different

I will say this. While I'm excited about the game, the music has always bugged me in the more recent games. Not that it's bad. I just find it to be the same repetetive stuff... and more often than not, there is no diversity in the music. It's all just the same one or two chords with different

I'm not saying the music is bad. I like it, I just like to hear some variation in the music... and every stage seems to consist almost exclusively of procussion or a few plunked out notes here and there. And, compared to other games, MK's music is just a bit generic for my tastes. Compare
