I dunno; a five-year warranty on a hard drive strikes me as being akin to
the warranty on a $5.95 calculator I saw once:

A bunch of us here are "hardware geeks" - what exactly that means.. hell
if I know, but - what it results in is that we're responsible for a lot of
hardware where we work and where we play...

It does have a CD burner. As of last night, it does not, unfortunately,
have a hard disk. I'm hoping to pick one up after work today. Since I need
Is openoffice 642 = 1.0? I'm on a mirror and that's the latest I can see.
On openoffice's site it lists:

* Release Notes for build 641c
* Release Notes for build 641b
* Release Notes for build 638c

Paul,
I am not able to go to the Hosstraders, but if you guys
need some CD's burned of OpenOffice 1.0, I could
download it tonight and burn some cd's if you need it.
I have everything set up at my house already to burn.
How many copies would you need? Email me and let me
know if you will

I can bring my new dual-Athlon system, as it's got a Plextor
drive that can do 10X (or is it 12X?) CD burns.

I could bring an external SCSI burner and set it up on the laptop if

My Redhat 7.3b2 laptop could also house Paul's software dev kit if he

Any possibility of obtaining OpenOffice 1.0 and burning a few CDs by
HossTraders?
If I can find time, I will try to burn a few CDs with ham related Linux
apps. Will start with RPMs and then Debs as time permits.

Hi,
Twice a year I buy some display space at Hoss Traders, the Ham Radio
sell-and-swap-goods-and-yarns held at Hopkinton fairgrounds. It is always
a lot of fun.
Last fall we bought four tables worth of space, and it cost:

o 4 x $10 for renting some
Probably would have been quicket to build a 80m PSK31 Warbler and get the info!! :)

Ben,
I have all GNHLUG merchandise. I am not sure I can connect with you (though
you should know how much I would like to recover some costs) to transfer
items for sale. And I don't think I am available this weekend to join
whomever does the show.

Hi,
I mentioned this at the last meeting in Nashua. The Ham Fest is this weekend,
starting Friday morning at 0900 and lasting until Saturday at dusk.
For those of you who are not familiar with this, it is a large group of Radio
Amateurs who get together to swap problems, stories and old gear.
O.K., so here is the scoop.
We will be in one of the large covered barns up by the main entrance to the
fairgrounds.
The issue around the Hoss Trader's booth and selling things is that they gave
me the space at a discount because we WOULD NOT be selling things...that this
