No way, no how, not on any of my bikes! DOT 5 used in a brake system that was designed for DOT 3/4 will swell the rubber seals and will eventually cost huge amounts of money to fix. There is PLENTY of scientific data around the multitudes of mail list on the internet warning of this procedure. Don

I felt those same frustrations for three years of ownership. On my early '93 ECU I finally set the pots to the 1 o'clock position as recommended by a fellow GTS rider who had done some experimentation and it TRANSFORMED the machine! Finally! The surging wasn't totally gone, but 75% was eliminated.
