the in-game server browser. No matter how many times I do this, the
in-game browser always returns many more servers than the desktop

That's the problem with "vanilla". I'd call my server vanilla, but we

Yeah, I use cacti as well. I plot cpu usage, I average all the
connected players pings and plot that, bandwidth, etc...

correctly so Windows thinks the port is in use. I am sure there is a second
option to releasing the port but I have not invested any time in locating it :)

Do both server have there own public IP? becasue if your NATing the two they
could be over lapping each other on the single Public IP.
