and band. One is an American arrangement of an opera duet, published by
Cundy-Bettoney (now long out of print). The others are local German
publications, which would take some digging to locate their addresses. The o

Referring to an old Sansone catalogue (1952); He marketed many different horn
models. His design with the B flat slides on top of the F slides was his Model
#5. The model that was the copy of the Conn 8D was his model # 5C. His copy of
the Schmidt double with the piston change valve was his mode

The Schott publication is an arrangement by Willy Hess. The first 157
measures of the original manuscript are lost, as is the trio section of the
minuet and the entire last movement. Hess recreated the first 157 measures
using music from the portions of the original manuscript that survive.

Not many pieces listed in the Dalley Horn Catalogue - 2006 Edition on CD. Of
the 12 listed items only 10 are currently available. Most are published
privately by their composers. One in particular is Richard Burdick - Grand Duo,
Regina Sask., Canada. Wiener Waldhorn Verein in their catalogue lis
Jasper Rees in his recent book "I Found My Horn" discusses this Beatles tune,
and Alan Civil (who recorded the horn part). It apparently goes up to high E.
However the tape was sped up when making the transfer to disk, which makes it

list. One thing about muted ( versus stopped ) passages is the style, or

classical concertos. I ended up writing out my own horn part and then adding
extensive cues, entrances by other instruments, measure numbers, and then on

The "Ill Wind" To Mozart Third Horn Concerto - last movement is the only music
related parody I know of by them. I believe that they made three LP recordings.

I believe the work is the Concerto for 4 Horns and orchestra by Heinrich
Hubler. Music available from KaWe (which was acquired by and available from
Hans Pizka). I believe he has for sale versions for horns and piano, and for
horns and orchestra. Hubler, by the way was a valve horn player and re

I was taught to take advantage of the alternate fingering possibilities of both
the F and B flat sides of the standard double horn. And depending how you tune
the 3rd valve slides of both horns can have a lot of influence on which
fingering to use. I personally tune the third valve slide of the
he third and fourth parts in the Requiem are for horns in C, B flat, A and G
